Can your child swim 25 yards unassisted? Then they can join the Southside Flyin' Fish Summer Swim Team! Signup for 2024 begins Thursday, April 4.

Experienced and non-experienced swimmers will have the opportunity to learn and/or perfect the four major swim strokes: Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Starts, finishes, and flip turns will be skills worked on daily.

​

Target ages are 4-18. Evaluations will be done before the season begins and participants will be placed in groups according to age, skill level, and experience. If swimmers aren't quite ready for the team, they can sign up for swim lessons instead. Coaches will be on deck training swimmers to use proper techniques.

​

Practices begin Monday, May 20 and are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

​

New for 2024: Participants can choose between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. practices.

​

Fridays are Friday Fundays! Special events will be scheduled throughout the season following the morning practice where teammates can get to know each other and hang out away from the pool. Last year we went roller skating, and more ideas are in the works.

An end-of-season party for all Southside Flyin' Fish swimmers will be held on Friday, June 28, at 10 a.m.
